This book is the first in a Series of Five Books. It is an
Allegory Novel written for youth but is also a fantastical
read for any age group. It is less intense than Lord of
The Rings and not as Dark as some of the Harry Potter
books.
For parents who want to allow their children's imagination
to be fed but care about the spiritual aspects of their lives...
this is a series that no one will object to.
As an Adult...I enjoyed the read (and will continue through the Series)...but did find it more around a fifth or sixth grade reading level. Some places the story lagged a little for me personally...but not enough to want to put it down. I have always appreciated finding good
books that I could highly recommend to young readers. So, if you have a son or daughter or
grandchild that loves Fantasy Fiction this is a series that will appease their appetite for fantasy
but while being an Allegory...will also point them to God, Jesus and The Christian Faith.

I agree with Pink Princess, sounds like a wonderful read. I work in a bookstore part time and am always looking for good quality books for our children and young adult section. I am SO sick of vampires! Ugh!!!
